The skin is our presentation to the outside world. A comprehensive skin program is a must in any anti-aging oriented person. A healthy skin is firm, smooth, without discolorations and without wrinkles. Starting in our young years and continuing through life there are certain precepts we must follow:
1- Sun protection: sun blockers (spf 30, one that blocks UVA (cancer-promoting), not UVB (needed for Vitamin D formation). Remember "sun is good, sunburn is not".
2- Take and oral multi-vitamin with enough anti-oxidants.
3- Have a skin therapy routine. Morning: cleanser, moisturizer, sun-blocker. The best way to achieve this is by visiting a certified aesthetician to have your skin evaluated and a specific program prescribed for you. I recommend Pevonia, but there are many good brands out there.
4- Periodic facial cleansing and toning procedures. For example, every 3-4 months, have a deep cleansing followed by galvanic treatments.
